The rules are quite simple - run as fast as you can, jump as high or as far as you can, and throw as far as you can. However the following also apply!
1) You must stay within your lane for running
2) You must not cross or touch the allocated line marking the throwing or jumping boundary.
3) You may not use your hands to hold onto your suit, or to raise it, for any event other than the high jump. Raising your arms over your head is allowed.
4) The suits - the sumo suits used are foam-filled, and NOT inflatable. The World Championships will only recognise results performed and verified using a proper foam-filled suit. There are also safety reasons why such a suit should be used, as it is far more robust for jumping in!
5) Women's suits - the women's competition may be performed with the child's size suits, as this allows for equal participation.
